Experts on pricing, sourcing, online marketing, institutional sales and retail sales will offer insights and experiences working with livestock farms. This one-day event will address the marketing and profitability of locally raised proteins by small and mid-size farms in Southern New England. Holly took awesome photos of us along the way, which she forwarded to us after the tour. Join The Livestock Institute of Southern New England (TLI) for its Virtual Winter Livestock Conference, Wednesday November 3rd, 2021. We got to spend a lot of time with each animal (and of course give them treats). We felt comfortable throughout the entire tour. This was very comforting to know, as animals can be unpredictable and scary. Holly does an incredible job with the animals and made sure to weed out any hostile or “mean” animals for the sake of her visitors and other animals at the farm. Once we got there, we were greeted by Holly & her daughter and three very cute puppies. The way there is full of wineries and great views. We booked a private tour and made our way out to the farm. I love animals so I quickly convinced my boyfriend that we had to go check it out. We looked on Airbnb Activities and found Harmony Acres Farm. We did many common tourist activities and found ourselves with no plans for about half of a day. My boyfriend and I visited Sedona for the first time this past weekend. If you’re visiting Sedona…squeeze this is on your to do list. They shared tons of interesting information about their lives and their animals throughout the visit.ĥ out of 5 stars would recommend this visit to anyone interested in hanging out with some fun animals and meeting a few really great people. They’re seasoned vets when it comes to living on a ranch and they were happy to answer all of our naive questions. We even got to meet a few of the little pigs at the end.Īll things considered Holly and her daughter treated us to a really relaxing and fun experience. We were able to pet, interact, feed and take pictures with all of the animals and it was a blast. We then met all 6-7 of the horses, a dozen or so goats of a variety of breeds, a sheep and a Ram. There is also a group option available for $25 per person.Īfter the stunning drive in through the mountainside we were greeted by Chica, 1 of the 3 adorable and super friendly rescue dogs on the ranch.Īfter we met the pups, Holly handed us a bag of carrots which were the first of many treats we were able to feed the animals. We booked the private 2.5 hour tour for two for $99. My girlfriend and I found Harmony Acres on AirBnB experiences and I’m so glad we decided to book a visit. I’d love to go back for a visit the next time we are in the area. Definitely get this petting farm on your list of things to do. The pictures of him with the horse were beautifully done. No joke! I said I wanted to use her photos of my son for his senior yearbook photos. Best of all, Holly took photos of the visit, and she shared those with us before we left. I recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty, or if you wear shorts, just know that you may get a little muddy love on your legs from some of the animals. Our age range is 17 - 75, yet everyone was able to actively participate and enjoy the animals. As I mentioned before, this was a multigenerational family trip. Our trip also includes visits with the goats, a sweet dog named Zola, chickens, and a turkey. Baby piggies were born in July, so it was such a treat to be able to hold them in our laps while relaxing in a rocking chair under the shade of the porch. We got to go inside the horses’ pens, feed them, and we also got introductions to their backgrounds. Holly, the owner/host of the excursion, provided clear and concise directions to her home, and once we arrived, we were warmly greeted by her. Since we had a group of 8, I was able to book a private tour, something I highly recommend, especially if you have a group of that size. AirBNB recommended the petting farm at Harmony Acres, and it worked out nicely for our multigenerational family trip. When vacationing in Sedona, we generally stay in the vicinity however, this time our family decided to venture out to neighboring cities for some activities. This is a perfect activity for a multigenerational family.
